This is our first entry in our News and Insights section for some time. Since there is quite a backlog of items to cover, a flurry of articles is planned for the next few weeks.

The December-to-January season is our most hectic time of year, with multiple teams in winter training camps. As our technology and test methodologies continue to evolve, we maintain close contact with teams to ensure they achieve the best accuracy and efficiency from the system.

When we founded the company, we planned to specialise in outdoor comparative aerodynamic testing on open roads, where we believed we could provide the greatest value to customers. We designed our web portal and server with enough flexibility to accommodate other testing types—including indoor and outdoor velodromes and tyre testing—but open-road aerodynamic testing remained our primary focus.

During the autumn of 2024 and into the winter 2025, tyre testing emerged as an increasingly significant part of our business. While we could already perform accurate tyre tests, we hadn't anticipated the scale and scope of tyre testing our customers were planning. The extensive manual work required for analysis and reporting made clear the need for a new automated architecture.

In February 2025, Ronan Mc Laughlin from Escape Collective re-enquired about our tyre testing capabilities. His planned test matrix seemed a good fit for evaluating the new architecture.

Our development philosophy favours continuous updates over bundled major releases. However, the planned database changes couldn't be performed incrementally—they required a complete overhaul. Like renovating a house, once everything is stripped down, opportunities for additional major upgrades become apparent. What began as a two-month update ultimately evolved into a six-month project far larger than initially planned.

The extra investment was worth it. The system now allows large multi-session tests, such as the Escape Collective tyre test, to be stored, processed, and even generate a report – all automatically. The update also includes beta versions of indoor and outdoor velodrome testing, and will allow automated testing in locations such as the Catesby Tunnel. On top of this, the UI layer was rewritten with an improved UX to allow more flexibility for future updates.

We then rolled into December and January winter training camps, achieving major increases in test efficiency, accuracy, and volume. We finished 2025 with over 200 professional test sessions, and 2026 is on track for continued exponential growth.

On the hardware side, we will be announcing two new products this year. One will go on sale very soon. The other will be announced later in the year, but may not be available until 2027 – but it is really cool!
